Objective
Canon’s Professional Printing Solutions Group offers industry-leading, high-speed printers for massive print volumes and high-quality results in black and white or full colour. These products are ideal for data centre and transaction service bureaus, direct mail service providers, and general and specialized commercial printers.
The requirement was for two Solutions Consultants who would provide technical support to Account Executives who are working with companies with very large volume printing requirements.
Proposal
Kathbern worked with the Vice President of the Professional Printing Solutions Group to identify the key characteristics required for successful candidates. The emphasis would be on deep knowledge of production printing and customer relations skills.
Process
Kathbern conducted a broad search of the printing industry using social media, existing contacts in the printing field and on-line advertising. Several possible candidates were identified and after screening by Kathbern and interview reports prepared, these were provided to Canon for evaluation and interviews.
Results
Two leading candidates were selected from the short list and offers were prepared, and after candidate acceptance, references were checked and the process completed successfully.
